Recommended for: Operators who are experienced or inexperienced and who operate Aerial work platforms and have had no formal training. Objective: To teach both the theoretical and practical aspects of aerial work platforms in on-slab and off-slab applications. To ensure the correct procedures for the donning of harnesses, working at height, fuel handling and correct operating techniques as it pertains to your environment. Theory and Practical Competence Evaluation:
Theory: Multiple choice (can be verbal if required)
Practical: Operator must be able to prove competency in all aspects of aerial work platform operation pertaining to his/her job function.
A pass mark of 80% in both theory and practical is required in order to be certified as a competent operator. A written report is issued on each operator indicating attitude, response to instruction, operating knowledge, ability and our instructor’s assessment of practical competence on a test marking sheet. Each operator who meets the required pass mark in both theory and practical will receive a wallet card indicating class of equipment tested on.
