Recommended for: Operators who are experienced or inexperienced and who will operate Cab, Radio or Pendant type cranes. Objective: To ensure that operators and slingers understand their important roll in applying the safe and correct procedures when using cranes and rigging and slinging loads. Benefits: - Reduction in Incidents (which lead to accidents) - Reduction in WSIB claims - Reduction in Product and building damage - Reduction in Maintenance costs Course Time: Theory: 4 to 8 hours, Practical: 1 to 2 hours each person one on one. Theory and Practical Competence Evaluation:
Theory: Multiple choice (can be verbal if required)
Practical: Based on theoretical information the instructor will demonstrate and assist the operator or slinger to perform each aspect of his/her everyday job and apply the appropriate material handling techniques relevant to your operation.
We provide professional overhead gantry crane training and overhead crane training Ontario based companies need for their valued employees. A pass mark of 80% in both theory and practical is required in order to be certified as a competent operator. A written report is issued on each operator indicating attitude, response to instruction, operating knowledge, ability and our instructor’s assessment of practical competence on a test marking sheet. Each operator who meets the required pass mark in both theory and practical will receive a wallet card indicating class of equipment tested on.
